Broncos RB has a rib cartilage injury
Willis McGahee (ribs) is “day to day” after he suffered a hit Sunday afternoon that left him unable to finish the Broncos matchup against the Texans. John Fox said the injury involves cartilage, which would mean that the RB’s injury would be painful if he decided to play Sunday. If McGahee misses any time, expect the Broncos to fill his place with a combination of Lance Ball, Knowshon Moreno, and Ronnie Hillman. (Denver Post)
FF Today’s Take: As of this point, do not expect McGahee to play on Sunday. The Broncos backup options may be viable for their game against the Raiders but not for fantasy. Ronnie Hillman is the most talented of the running backs that will fill McGahee’s role, but expect Lance Ball to receive the majority of the carries. If McGahee misses extended time, keep an eye on Hillman to break out.
